High Speed Restoration

small logo

These are some of the pictures that I have taken during the restoration process of my High Speed. I tried to document it as best I could but the work was more important than trying to keep taking pictures. I have taken more pictures than these so if you would like to see something specific let me know, maybe I took a picture of it.

The cabinet has a few nicks, bumps and scratches. So I decided to use my paint experience and re-stencil this cabinet. The playfield is in pretty decent shape to start with. It will require touch-up to the insert decals and "patch a few potholes" on the roadway. All of the plastics appear to be unbroken and not warped. These decisions to re-paint the cabinet and touch-up the playfield were easy because electronically this game is nice. All the displays are nice and bright, Playfield lights work perfect, even the cherry on top works.

Before Restoration

The front had holes from the security bar. The trim was showing signs of oxidation. The playfield shows minor insert wear. Alittle body putty to fill the lock-bar holes.
Right side head with dings and scratches. Playfield has been stripped down. Primed backbox is now ready for the new paint job. Here is a sample of the artwork that I reproduced for this project.
